We know it's difficult to pronounce: dza-dzee-kee. But we also know that it is so easy to make!

That's exactly what gave us the motive to organize and host our innovative event right in the heart of Athens, in Monastiraki Square.
On Sunday 4 October, we gathered together with one purpose; to show you, in real-time, how to prepare this delicious Greek recipe. The procedure was divided into 4 simple steps. Firstly, we put the Greek yogurt in the bowl. Next, we grated the cucumber. We then added the smashed garlic. And, finally, we sprinkled with olive oil and salt. You made it; your own, homemade, traditional Greek tzatziki!

The participation was really big and gave us so much pleasure! People had fun, learned how to prepare a traditional recipe and came closer to greek culture and hospitality. We made a lot of interesting conversations and we had the chance to meet people from all over the world! Every participant received our carefully handmade gift, a jar of grape spoon sweet, a delicious sweet made with grapes, lemon and sugar.

The Tzatziki Project was an amazing experience! In Greeking.me, we believe that the best way to understand a foreign culture is by meeting it's people and being involved in authentic, traditional customs. And we are glad that in this event, the participants experienced both. Innovation met tradition and these two combined created a unique event.
