Ι am a 32 years old Athenian, in love with my place of birth. I have studied Economics and also hold an MBA degree, something that really helped me to join the travel & tourism sector as an entrepreneur. As a traveler, I’ve visited many places and always wanted to explore each one like a local.
My name is Anna, 27 years old, a travel passionate, always in love with the city of Athens. My strong desire to unravel the beauties of my city to the travelers was the motive to co-create Greeking.me. I’m always searching for ways to be creative & my hunger for interesting & valuable knowledge is insatiable.
Making a difference in people's lives has been at the heart of my career in healthcare so far. I recently returned to Greece after living in the UK for 11 years. My passion for Greece and its hidden treasures led me to seek a new career with Greeking.me. Coming back to become a member of such a lovely and creative team and being able to continue making a difference in people's lives, this time through helping them taste the best of Greece, literally warms the cockles of my heart!
Born in Poland and raised in Crete by a Polish mother and an American father, I gained interest in foreign languages and cultures from an early age. I have studied English Philology and hold an M.A. in Applied Linguistics. I have travelled to several places and at the end of each journey I always have the same feeling; that it was an amazing experience and I can’t wait for the next one. After having worked as a teacher for some years, I decided to pursue a career in what I am most crazy about; planning trips and travelling! Greeking.me gave me the opportunity to achieve it by joining a team that shares the same passion. So here I am, ready to help you get the most out of Greece!
Usually hidden behind a book, with a Bachelor’s in Greek philology and a Master’s in Creative Writing, there are only few things I like better than writing. One of those things is Greece, with its glorious sun and sparkling blue sea. Having lived and worked in the UK for a year, I came back with a bag full of dreams and a pocket full of hope. Thankfully, the friendly smiles the Greeking.me team welcomed me with were warmer that a hot summer’s day. Since then, I’ve been the Content & Social Media Manager. I’m cool like that.
Who said that time travel isn't real? History is the best way to explore unique windows of time and Archaeology gives you access to experience the past. I studied Archaeology - History of Art and Management of Cultural Heritage. I discovered my passion for guiding after organizing educational programs for children and guiding schools in museums. So, I became a Licensed Tour Guide and now I am fully committed on making people travel back in time, too.
Native Athenian, studied History and Archaeology (among other things!), High-School teacher (Ancient Greek was my favorite subject), Licensed Tourist Guide, traveller and... keep going on! That is why I joined Greeking.me. Because we are a restless team!
As a licensed tourist guide living in central Athens, I’m always enthusiastic to introduce visitors to the city’s history, culture, architecture and life, focusing on the classical sites and the modern aspects of Athens. Having studied History and International Relations and still engaged in academia, I’ve always pursued to broaden my horizons by learning foreign languages or travelling around the world.
I have always been fascinated by Greek history & mythology. I remember myself being the kid that always came home with dirt on its knees, a spoon in the pocket (the ultimate “digging tool”) and many stories to recount about what (imaginary) findings I had unearthed & the people who owned them centuries ago. So, I followed my heart and pursued my dream to study Archaeology & Art history (B.A), Cultural Management (M.A) & got a Tour Guiding license too. And here I am now, part of this dream team, enjoying every moment of being an “ambassador” of the rich past & present of Greece, interacting with travelers who visit my country, exchanging cultures, sharing knowledge & experiences.
I have studied Archaeology, Museology and Education looking for a way to combine my love for history and art with my passion to communicate it to other people, and especially kids. Eventually, I found the right job for me! I became a museum educator organizing educational programs for families and school groups, and then I decided to become a Licensed Tourist Guide so that I can share my enthusiasm with even more people, adults and kids, from different parts of the world.
Hello everyone, my name is Vivi. I have studied archeology but my love for learning and sharing my knowledge about Greek civilization is what drove me to become a tour guide. I challenge you to come to Greece and explore where mythology becomes reality and where human history is engraved in the amazing artistic monuments that are still standing today. Just accept the challenge!
I am an archaeologist and a licensed tourist guide, born and bred in Heraklion, Crete. Studying Aegean archaeology came up so naturally to me and along with restoration of archaeological sites they have become my passion. As an archaeologist, I find it fascinating to help visitors feel and understand the values that every monument preserves. As a local, I believe it’s intriguing to present our traditions and show how they are actually part of our everyday life. What I always tell to my guests is that one can never be bored in Crete, especially when there is someone to help you explore it! That’s where our story begins, by “crete-ing“ you!
Digging up the past was something that always intrigued me, ever since I was a little girl. Thanks to my grandfather, who used to take me on long walks and talk about the history and the different places of the city, I fell in love with it and wanted to be able to share it with others as well. There was just one path for me, to study History and Archaeology in Athens, and afterwards to become a Licensed Tourist Guide. The path continues on, and no one knows where it should lead tomorrow, but being a Guide I find that fascinating!
I am an archaeologist and a licensed tourist guide, specialized in the history of Athens. I studied History and Archaeology at the University of Athens while my postgraduate studies were on Paleolithic Era & Human Evolution. I have a true passion for history, mythology, and storytelling. As an archaeologist, I love sharing my passion and knowledge about monuments and the stories behind them. Athens, one of the oldest cities in the world, has always something new and unique to offer, awaiting to be discovered by visitors and locals!
Since I remember myself, I always wanted to be a traveller and travel all around the world. I’ve visited few places till now & I want to visit more, after my stay in the UK for two years. What made me return was my family & of course Greece, this gorgeous country with all the beautiful places, the local people, the lovely sunshine and the beautiful sea!
Athens seems to be a visual open book but if it’s all Greek to you, I am here to help you! My name is Eva, I was born and live in Athens. Having studied Archaeology (B.A.) and History of Art (M.A.) I work as an official tourist guide of Greece in English and French. Let’s discover together the world of my amazing city!
My name is Vassiliki but friends call me Vicky. I am a bookworm, a musician, a Sci-Fi enthusiast, a British Sign Language student, a Durham Raptor - I play wheelchair basketball for my University’s team - and every summer I am guiding curious strangers through the beauties of Greece. My primary studies are in archaeology and I hold a master’s degree in anthropology. Currently I am doing my PhD. To break it down I am a storyteller and soon I’ll be Dr. Storyteller. As an archaeologist I recreate stories and as an anthropologist I deliver them. After this introduction, it is obvious why I love being a tour guide. I am as interested in telling the story as I am in to listening to it. Together we will visit fascinating places and experience Greece in a way that will give you stories to share, when you get back home!
They say that the past is a foreign country. Ever since I was a child I wanted -if possible- to visit both, the past and many different countries. So the reasonable thing to do was to become an archaeologist and travel! When I came to Athens to study Archaeology, I fell in love with the city! I decided to become a Licensed Tourist Guide when I realized that my passion for history came along with a passion for sharing it!
An “Italian Athenian”; I was born and raised in a small city in Italy but moved to Greece to study for my PhD in Ancient History after falling in love with Greek culture. And here I stay! With an official tour guide license & an ever increasing wealth of knowledge, I look to communicate to our guests the history, culture & hidden corners of Greece’s soul that I truly, deeply love.
Since I was a kid I was fascinated by the Gods and heroes of the Greek Mythology as well as the archaeological sites all around Greece that I visited with my parents, so becoming a student of archaeology at the University of Crete came naturally. I focused on the Aegean cultures completing an MA degree and a PhD, however I wanted more experiences. This is why I became a licensed tourist guide, so as to combine my passion for journeys and the transmition of what I have learnt to other people. Crete, a place with a great deal of history, an amazing variety of landscapes and above all, a gastronomical paradise became the ideal location to live and work. Let's unlock together the secrets of this island and discover the true meaning of life!
One of the keys to happiness in life, I believe, is when someone is able to pursue the profession that they love. That’s why I feel really glad about my choice of degree in History and Archaeology as well as my masters degree in Cultural Management. They have allowed me to be part of one of the most fascinating professions and also enabled me to gain my license as a tourist guide. For me, guiding people who come to Greece from all over the world, to both our modern and ancient sites, is a real privilege. Furthermore it is a joy to be able to have the opportunity to work with specialists in this field, the team of “Greeking.me”.
