Coastal Dreams: Rome, Amalfi Coast, Athens, Naxos & Santorini

Though your time in Rome won’t last for all eternity, we promise you will be in for quite the treat!

On the fourth day in Italy, we will ensure a safe and comfortable train and car transfer to the picture-perfect Amalfi Coast. Check into your hotel, and enjoy the evening as you like because the next day will feature an epic excursion on the open sea!

On day 5, you will embark on an incredible day cruise around Amalfi. You will be part of a small group on this day cruise, so you won’t have to worry about being lost in a big crowd.

Instead, you can choose from snorkeling outings in the open water, admiring the Saint Andrew Grotto (a natural sea cave with stalactites), feeling the love at the 'Arc of Lovers,' and/or simply luxuriating on the boat.

Keep an eye out for some special landmarks, such as a villa that Sophia Loren once called home and a former Dominican monastery. Later on, you will enjoy a spectacular sunset at the cape of Praiano.

On the sixth day, you will see how the locals make lemons into lemonade, literally! But first, this tour will take you through the charming village of Ravello, a longtime artists’ colony where greats like Wagner, Mirò, and Escher called home.

Next, you will walk down sets of ancient stairs to terraced fields full of aromatically beautiful lemon groves. Here, you will have the option of trying the local lemonade, homemade lemon jam, and additional delicacies made with Sfusato Amalfitano lemons.

Though you will be leaving Italy on day 7, you will have plenty to look forward to in Greece. We will arrange a private transfer to Naples Airport, where you will then catch your flight to Athens.

Upon arrival, we will provide another private transfer so you can check into your hotel and spend the evening as you please.

For your eighth day, we will whisk you away to Cape Sounio. We will pick you up at your hotel and then take you on a ride along the stunningly scenic Athens Riviera.

You will stop at Lake Vouliagmeni, where you can spend a little quality time at this natural spa that’s famous for its healing water.

Once you reach Cape Sounio, you will have ample time to explore the Doric-column Temple of Poseidon and take your time retracing the steps of King Aegeus and Lord Byron.

On day 9, we will handle your transportation to the airport so that you can fly from Athens to the intriguing island of Naxos.

Though this may not be the most internationally famous island of the Cyclades, it is the largest, and this is the island where you will encounter some of Greece’s most incredible historic landmarks and hidden treasures.

Once you arrive at Naxos Airport, we will handle your transportation to the hotel, where you can check in and begin to get acquainted with this magnificent island.

The next day, we will lead you on a private tour showcasing Naxos’ best highlights. This VIP tour will include a visit to the Castle of the Chora of Naxos, a stop at a beautiful Medieval-era Byzantine cathedral, entrance to an actual, working archaeological excavation inside the city, a traditional Naxos-style dinner at a local restaurant, and a dazzling sunset rendezvous at the island of Palatia where you’ll find the Portara!

On day 11, you will hop on board a catamaran for a sailing tour around Naxos and the Small Cyclades.

We will provide lunch, drinks, and snacks during your day trip on the boat, and you can choose a snorkeling expedition in the azure waters of the Aegean Sea, a tasting of some locally produced wines and/or spirits, and outings to pristine coves and hidden caves that are only accessible by boat.

We will even serve a light dinner of seasonal fruits before you return to port.

Though this trip will be nearing its conclusion, you’ll still have one more incredible destination to experience: Santorini!

On the morning of the twelfth day, you will check out of your hotel in Naxos, and we will provide the ultimate ferry ride where you can take in some fantastic Aegean scenery en route to Santorini.

Upon your arrival on this island, we will arrange a private transfer to your hotel here.

For day 13, we will let you enjoy your morning as you please. Later on, you will embark on the ultimate cruise around the island!

Take in the awe-inspiring sights and sounds of Santorini, swim, and snorkel in the striking blue waters of the Aegean Sea if you want, and feast on a freshly prepared Greek dinner while sipping complimentary beverages and witnessing a stunning Santorini sunset.

Though this will mark the end of your trip, we hope that you will have made an abundance of lasting memories that you will want to share with friends and family back home. Hopefully, we will see you again soon!
