The Great Italian Coastline Escape: Cinque Terre, Ischia, and Amalfi Coast

On day 3, it will be time to bid arrivederci (or goodbye) to the Cinque Terre. We will pick you up at your hotel, then transport you to Florence, where you will take the train to Naples.

We will then provide a transfer from the train station to the Port of Naples, where you will ride a ferry boat to the island of Ischia. You will then check into your hotel on the island.

The following day, it will (hopefully!) all be smooth sailing. Take a short stroll from your hotel to the dock, then hop on board the boat because you will be doing a special day cruise around the island.

Enjoy marvelous views of Ischia and the Bay of Naples, take your pick of various activities to do on and off the boat (including snorkeling and swimming in the sea), and partake in complimentary snacks and beverages while on board.

For your fifth day in Italy, you will have a free day to explore Ischia however you want!

Feel free to hit the local beaches, tour some local wineries, dig into the island’s rich history at the Aragonese Castle and the Archaeological Museum of Villa Arbusto, or perhaps seek out some additional hidden treasures strewn across the island.

On day 6, you will be leaving Ischia because it will be time for you to begin exploring the Amalfi Coast.

You will take the ferry back to Naples; then we will provide a private car transfer to your hotel in Amalfi. Along the way, you can stop at the ancient wonders of Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius.

The following day, you will see how Amalfi locals actually make lemons into lemonade! This tour will begin in the charming village of Ravello, a longtime artists’ colony where greats like Wagner, Mirò, and Escher called home.

Next, you will walk down sets of ancient stairs and take the Path of the Lemons through terraced fields full of lemon groves of spectacular views of the Amalfi Coast.

Here, you can try the local lemonade, homemade lemon jam, and additional delicacies made with Sfusato Amalfitano lemons.

Day 8 will be one more free day for you to do what you want. There is so much more for you to see and do throughout the Amalfi Coast, so we’ll leave it up to you to choose what else you want to cross off your to-do list.

You will embark on an epic day cruise around Amalfi for your final full day in Italy. You will be part of a small group on this day cruise, so you will never be at risk of becoming lost in a big crowd.

Instead, you can relax and enjoy the journey to gorgeous beaches and pristine open waters, many of which are only accessible by boat.

From Positano, you will sail to the ancient maritime republic of Amalfi, Italy’s only natural fjord (Furore Fjord), and multiple secluded beaches where you can swim and/or snorkel if you so choose.

This boat tour will include English-speaking local captains, free time in the old town of Amalfi, complimentary snacks and select beverages, and towels and shower facilities on board. After your day cruise, we will transport you back to your hotel.

For your departure day, we will provide one more private car transfer from your hotel to Naples Airport, and you will have ample time to check in with your airline and catch your flight(s) home.
