Coastal Escapade: Capri, Amalfi, Naples, Athens, Paros, and Naxos

On day 3, you will have to bid arrivederci (or goodbye in Italian) to Capri, but we promise you will have plenty more exciting adventures on land and sea in the coming days.

Upon checking out of your Capri hotel, you will board a ferry and make your way to the Amalfi Coast. You will then check into a new hotel here, and you will have a free night to do what you want.

The next day, you will discover the secrets of one of the region’s finest exports: Wine!

Campania has a long tradition of making great wine, and during this tour, you will visit a 100-year-old winery, witness much of the production process, and try some of the wines that are made here.

For your fifth day in Italy, you will take the ultimate cooking class! You will start with a tour of a local terraced garden and lemon groves. Then, you will pick some fresh produce to use for your meal.

Afterward, you will do a hands-on cooking class where you will try your hand at some of Amalfi’s best dishes, followed by a relaxing meal featuring the dishes you just cooked, along with local wines and limoncello.

On day 6, you will be leaving the Amalfi Coast, but we will then take you on a special tour of Pompeii and Mount Vesuvius.

Hike to the top of the crater at Vesuvius, tour the remarkably well-preserved ruins at the Pompeii archaeological site, learn more about life in this ancient Roman city before Vesuvius erupted in 79 CE, and enjoy a pizza lunch in the region that produces the world’s most famous pizzas.

After your tour, we will transport you to your hotel in Naples, where you will spend the night.

The following day, you will have to leave Italy. However, this also means you will soon arrive in Greece!

We will arrange your transportation from the hotel in Naples to the airport; then you will fly into Athens. Upon arrival, we will provide a private transfer to your next hotel in Athens.

On day 8, we will take you on an action-packed tour where you will experience the best of Athens in a day. During our day-long tour of the city, we will show you 2,500 years of Greek history and culture in about 7 hours!

This tour will include transportation in a newer model Mercedes van, an expert licensed guide and archaeologist, stops at the Acropolis and the Acropolis Museum, and a tour through Athens’ lovely Plaka neighborhood.

It also stops at the colorful Monastiraki with its flea market and Syntagma Square, where you’ll find the contemporary Greek Parliament and a visit to the Panathenaic Stadium, where the first modern Olympic Games occurred in 1896!

On your ninth day, it will be time to leave Athens, but this also means you will be on your way to the incredible island of Paros.

Once you check out of your hotel in Athens, we will pick you up and transport you to the airport. You will then fly to Paros, and we will transport you to your new hotel on the island.

The next day, you will embark on quite the adventure at sea! You will hop on board a semi-private boat and enjoy the day sailing around Paros.

This boat trip includes opportunities for aquatic activities, along with complimentary snacks and beverages.

On day 11, we will handle your transportation to the port so you can take a ferry ride from Paros to the intriguing island of Naxos.

Once you arrive at Naxos, we will handle your transportation to the hotel, where you can check in and begin to get acquainted with this magnificent island.

Later on, we will lead you on a private tour showcasing Naxos’ best highlights.

This VIP tour will include a visit to the Castle of the Chora of Naxos, plenty more historical gems around the island, a traditional Naxos-style dinner at a local restaurant, and a fabulous sunset celebration at the island of Palatia where you’ll find the Portara!

The following day, you will hop on board a catamaran for a sailing tour around Naxos. During the day, you will have the chance to snorkel in the gorgeous waters of the Aegean Sea if you so choose.

Plus, you can taste some locally produced wines and/or spirits while on board the boat, and you will get to see pristine coves and hidden caves that are solely accessible by boat.

We will provide lunch, drinks, and snacks during your nautical day trip around Naxos.

For your final full day in Greece, we will provide an unforgettable grand finale to this grand two-week trip.

On our last tour together, we will guide you through Naxos’ most charming towns and friendly villages, and you will feast on the island’s finest offerings as you discover Naxos’ tastiest culinary treats.

Though we will have to bid you farewell, we will ensure you have a smooth and easy journey back home. Upon checking out of your hotel in Naxos, we will provide a private transfer to the airport, where you will have ample time to catch your flight(s) back.
