Aeolian Adventures: Lake Como, Portofino, Florence, Athens & Paros

On day 4, you will have to leave Lake Como, but that’s only because you will soon arrive at the Italian Riviera!

Once you check out of your hotel at Lake Como, we will provide a private car transfer to your new hotel in the gorgeous town of Portofino. Check-in and get settled, then spend the evening as you like.

The following day, we will send you on a special highlights tour of Portofino and Santa Margherita.

Your tour will kick off with a sightseeing boat tour on the open sea. Then, you will do a guided walk around the Piazzetta, full of colorful cafes and boutiques.

You will later stop for some fresh focaccia from the bakery, and you will take a cooking class where you will learn how to make authentic Ligurian pesto with a mortar and pestle!

If you’re still craving more, then rest assured that this tour will also include a refreshing light lunch at a waterfront restaurant.

For your sixth day, you’ll be on the road again, but we promise it’s for a great reason.

We will provide a private car transfer from your hotel in Portofino, and we will drive you to your new hotel in the fabulous city of Florence. Once you get settled at the hotel, we will let you decide how you’d like to spend the evening with your partner.

The next day, we will pair you with an expert local guide and send you on the ultimate tour to see the best of Florence in a day.

You will have pre-reserved express entry into the Accademia and Uffizi Galleries, so you will have more time to discover Renaissance masterpieces like Michaelangelo’s David and (unfinished) Prisoners, Caravaggio’s Bacchus and Medusa, and Sandro Botticelli’s Primavera and Birth of Venus.

In addition, you will visit the famed Duomo Cathedral (and learn more about its incredible origin story), stop at the Baptistery to take a look at the Gates of Paradise, and stop at beloved local landmarks like the Piazza della Repubblica and the Leather Market.

On day 8, you will head out of town and immerse yourselves in the wonderful world of Chianti wine!

From Florence, you will take a comfortable, air-conditioned ride out to Chianti and take expert-guided walking tours of the charming towns of Greve and Castellina.

You will also stop at 2 of Chianti’s finest local wineries, where you will taste a total of 5 fantastic DOCG wines with light food pairings.

The next day, you will have to leave Florence and Italy behind, but that’s only because you have a few more days of exciting excursions ahead of you in Greece.

We will pick you up at your hotel in Florence, then transport you to the airport. You will then catch a flight to Athens, where we will pick you up again and take you to your new hotel in the city.

Later that evening, you will embark on our signature Evening Highlights Tour. With an expert archaeologist on hand, you will walk through several of Athens’ most beautiful neighborhoods.

You will go everywhere, from the ancient Temple of Olympian Zeus and the Arch of Hadrian to the stately homes of Plaka and the contemporary home of Greece’s parliament. We will later cap this off with an authentic mezedes dinner alongside traditional Greek liquors and wine.

On day 10, we will give you the morning to spend at leisure. Later in the day, we will take you on our enchanting Sunset Acropolis Tour.

On this walking tour, you will join your expert guide to discover the many wonders that await on the hill, including the iconic Parthenon and the Temple of Athena Nike, as well as lesser-known treasures like the Propylaea and the lost gallery of the ancient world.

On your eleventh day, it will be time to leave Athens, but this also means you will be on your way to the magically beautiful island of Paros.

Once you check out of your hotel in Athens, we will transport you to the airport. You will then fly to Paros, and we will pick you up and take you to your new hotel on the island.

The next day, you will enjoy an action-packed day at sea. You will hop on board a modern sailing yacht and spend the day (10 hours total) sailing around Paros.

You will have a prime opportunity to snorkel off the shore of Iraklia, explore a World War II plane wreck, and see for yourselves the incredible marine life that now calls this stretch of water home.

You will also head to the islands of Schinoussa or Koufonisia, where you can swim in the gorgeous water and experience for yourselves why these islands are often called 'a little piece of paradise.'

This yacht cruise will include a full Greek lunch, additional appetizers and snacks, local wines and soft drinks, and swimming and snorkeling equipment for you to use.

For your final day in Greece, you will have a free day to do whatever you want on Paros. There’s plenty more to see and do throughout the island, so you will have a plethora of ideas to choose for your grand finale date with your special someone.

After two weeks of incredible adventures and unique romantic experiences, it’s time to bring this trip to a close.

To make your journey home easier and more stress-free, we will arrange a private car transfer to Athens Airport and make sure you have plenty of time to catch your flight(s) home.
