Mythical Romance: Florence, Rome, Athens, Delphi & Meteora

The next day, you will have to bid arrivederci (or goodbye) to Florence, but that’s only because you will make your way to 'The Eternal City' of Rome.

We will provide a private car transfer from your hotel to Florence’s train station; then, you can sit back, relax, and enjoy an easy train ride to Rome. Once you’re there, we will transport you to your new hotel in the city.

On day 5, you will take a special, premium tour of the Colosseum! Not only will you get to skip the lines and join a smaller and more intimate group (that’s capped at 6) for your tour, but you will also get to do what few others ever do here.

More specifically, you will gain access to the usually restricted Colosseum Arena floor and walk where gladiators once fought, plus, you will head up and get a prime bird’s eye view of the Colosseum’s underground tunnels.

The following day, you take a complete tour of Vatican City. We will pair you with an expert licensed guide, and you will enjoy expedited entry to the Vatican Museums and St. Peter’s Basilica.

On this tour, you will see everything from Michaelangelo’s world-famous frescoes at the Sistine Chapel to Bernini’s altar at St. Peter’s Basilica, plus you will tour the incomparable Gallery of the Maps, the Raphael Rooms, the Pinecone Courtyard, and several more special spots at the Vatican.

For your seventh day, it will be time to leave Italy behind and fly to Greece! Upon arriving in Athens, we will transport you to your hotel, and we’ll leave it up to you to decide how you will celebrate your first night together in our beloved country.

The next day, we will give you the morning to spend at leisure. Later in the day, we will send you on our Athens Highlights Tour.

With an expert archaeologist on hand, you will walk through some of Athens’ most beautiful neighborhoods, and you will get to see everything from the ancient Temple of Olympian Zeus and the Arch of Hadrian to the gorgeous neoclassical houses of Plaka and the modern home of Greece’s parliament.

To make the evening even better, you will also be treated to an authentic mezedes dinner alongside traditional Greek liquors and wine.

On the tenth day, you and your partner will take the ultimate journey to the mythical and spiritual heart of ancient Greece.

Upon checking out of your hotel in Athens, we will pick you up and send you on a private guided tour of Delphi, which will include visits to the archaeological site and to Delphi’s impressive museum.

Once you begin to tour Delphi’s archaeological site, you will understand why ancient Greeks called this place “the navel of the earth” while discovering ancient landmarks like the Theatre of Delphi, the Temple of Apollo, and the site of the famous oracle, plus you will have time to visit the Delphi Museum.

Following your tour, we will transport you to your new hotel in the Meteora area.

For your final full day in Greece, you will do a full-day private tour of Meteora. On this tour, you will visit the area’s most iconic rock formations, tour several of Meteora’s most mesmerizing monasteries, stop at the Virgin Mary Church that was built during the Byzantine era, and tour the mysteriously charming Hermit Caves of Badova.

Though this may not be considered a typical place for a romantic date, you might be surprised by Meteora’s unique ability to bring people together and strengthen bonds of love.

As much as we’d love to take you on more incredible excursions, it’s time to finish this trip. We will provide a private car transfer from Meteora to Athens Airport, where you should have plenty of time to catch your flight(s) home.
