Sun, Sea, and Family Fun: Florence, Rome, Athens, Naxos, Crete

On day 4, we will take you on a beautiful train ride to Rome. Your kids can relax and enjoy the picturesque views with a window seat in the Tuscan countryside.

Upon arrival at the train station in Rome, our driver will be waiting for you to transport you to the hotel. Take your time to relax with your family before setting off on a new, exciting journey.

The following day, you will explore the history of the Colosseum and the Roman Forum with our skip-the-lines admission tour. The tour includes multimedia and other props to keep your kids engaged!

Gladiator stories and information about the daily life of the ancient Romans will captivate you, and the fact that you will walk past the long entrance line will make you not want to leave the Roman Forum.

On day 6, get ready to discover the Vatican and the Sistine Chapel with our personalized private tour. Our expert guide will focus on your kids with fun history facts as this tour is designed to engage kids in the rich history of the Vatican!

The tour is crafted to capture the attention of young explorers, encouraging them to ask questions and actively participate in the adventure.

Through interactive tools, the whole family will get caught up in learning about the fascinating story of the creation of the chapel’s ceiling and be surprised by unexpected encounters like surprises such as the Mummy of the Vatican Museums!

On day 7, you will fly out of the Italian capital to the historic capital of Greece, Athens. Upon your arrival at the airport, our driver will pick you up and take you to your accommodation, where you can rest until tomorrow’s tour of the Acropolis.

Immerse yourselves in the magic of ancient Greece and discover the three temples up at the Acropolis dedicated to the goddess Athena.

The contest between Athena and Poseidon for the city's ownership, Athena’s olive tree, and the glorious Parthenon are all stories that will make everyone excited about the intricate Greek myths and their symbolism.

On day 9, it is time to leave the hustle and bustle of the Greek capital for the tranquility of an island.

We will handle your private transportation to the airport, where you will catch a flight to Naxos Island. Once you arrive at Naxos Airport, our driver will take you to your accommodation.

Next morning, you will embark on a family adventure to the Naxian countryside. Meet local animals, like donkeys, walk through an olive grove, indulge in a game of archery, and meet a local beekeeper!

The tour wouldn’t be complete without being able to savor the fresh flavors at a local restaurant. Our local escort will unravel all the secrets behind local dishes and will make sure you try the renowned local custard pastry, galaktoboureko.

Before leaving, there is a surprise for the adults; you will visit a local distillery and taste the local liquor, citron, made from the fruit and leaves of the citron tree.

Your last day in Naxos is free to spend it as you please. You can stroll in the cobblestone streets of the beautiful town, do your souvenir shopping, or even better, if your family loves the beach, visit one of the stunning beaches of Naxos, such as Plaka, Agios Prokopios or Mikri Vigla.

It is now time to leave the island of Naxos behind you and visit the vibrant island of Crete, the biggest island in Greece.

A driver will pick you up from your hotel and transport you to the ferry station, where you will ride the ferry to Crete. Once you arrive, we will arrange your transportation to your hotel in Elounda.

Day 13 is dedicated to exploring the largest Bronze Age archaeological site in Crete, Knossos. After discovering the myths of the Minotaur and the Labyrinth, get introduced to the rich Cretan cuisine on our local food tour around Heraklion!

Try bougatsa, the traditional pie filled with cream custard, kaltsounia, a delicious Cretan pastry, do an olive oil and cheese tasting, visit an organic honey shop, and get introduced to the local herbs to which the Cretan cuisine owes its fame.

By the end of this experience, you will have combined the best of Crete, including its fascinating history, brought to life amidst Minoan ruins, and the mouthwatering flavors that define the island's culinary identity.

Your last day in Elounda is free to spend as you wish. You can walk around the main village of Agios Nikolaos or relax at one of the many lakeside cafes.

Another option is the island of Spinalonga, not far from the coast; the Venetian and Ottoman fortifications will offer you and your family an adventure back in time. A fun activity that might appeal to your kids is a visit to Amazonas Park, featuring various animals and plants.

Older kids and teenagers can engage in water sports such as paddleboarding, kayaking, or windsurfing at Elounda Beach, and even if they are at a beginner’s level, they can take lessons.

Your trip is ending, but we will ensure your departure is smooth and safe. On the day of your departure, we will provide a private transfer to the airport, ensuring you are there on time for your flight back home.
