Ascend to the slopes of the Acropolis rock, finding yourself at the Theater of Dionysus, the place where ancient theater got glorified. • My family, 2 40-something adults, kids 10 and 12, had a great time on this tour. The tour guide, Nikos, was really knowledgeable. I really appreciated how he explained not only the mythology behind the structures we saw, but also the political motivations of the people who built them.

  • We did the Mythology tour of the Acropolis and ancient Agora with our 3 kids aged 7-10. Our tour guide was full of knowledge and definitely enriched our visit. It was a really hot August day but our guide led us to shady spots where he explained what we were seeing and used pictures to show what it would have looked like then. An amazing experience!

  • We booked through greeking.me for our family's trip in Greece. I am usually the do-it yourself vacationer but I was not sure I could tackle the language and logistics of Athens and its outside locations. Our guide, Evita, was very knowlegeable and nice. Great stories that gave us the background on the ancient sites. Recommend you to hire a guide, it will add so much more to your visit. Excellent experience!

  • We really enjoyed the mythology tour. Ava was fun and well versed in archaeology, my family liked how thorough she was and how she told the stories and pointed mostly what's important. She is able to engage the 3 kids in the tour who were very smart kids familiar with Greek Mythology.

  • I just wanted to give feedback on Mary-Helene (hope the spelling is correct) who took myself and my family on a mythology tour yesterday. She was fantastic 😀 incredibly knowledgeable and pitched the stories of Zeus, Athena et al perfectly to my 4 kids (13 years and under). The east part of the Acropolis was closed and it was very busy to leave so we had to wait more than 30 minutes and Mary-Helene played top trumps with my kids!!! It was an outstanding tour and Mary-Helene brought to my life Greek ancient history and culture to our family, thank you so much.

  • Had a great tour with Eya from Greeking me on the mythology tour. She explained the history of the places we were seeing as well as telling the mythology stories about the places, Gods involved and how the Greeks used mythology to explain things. It was amazing!! She was very knowledgeable and took time to answer our questions. We were able to climb the Acropolis, see the Parthenon and temples as well as a great view of the city. We also went to the temple of Zeus and the Acropolis museum. It was a wonderful day and we learned so much. I can't recommend this tour enough!!

  • Despite torrential rain that made it difficult to actually walk around the Acropolis, our tour was really great thanks to our guide. Vicky was hands down the best guide we have ever had. In addition to being incredibly knowledgable, she was absolutely wonderful with our kids (8 year old twins) and did a fantastic job engaging them. She consistently got down at their level (often sitting on the floor to talk with them), played around with them (e.g., helping them "fly" over puddles), and was excellent at gauging their attention and whether they were following what she was talking about. We were very impressed!

  • Maybe because it was the low season, i was the only one on the tour, so thank you to the company for not cancelling on me. My tour guide was fantastic! Eva knew the general history and archeological history as well as the mythology and religious history backwards and forwards. I'm pretty good with this stuff and my oldest son is taking his master's in archeology, but the depth and contextual understanding Eva brought to the tour on all of these subjects was exceptional. Based on my private tour with an incredible tour guide, I heartily recommend this company and this particular tour.

  • This tour is an absolute must for all adult travellers serious about learning about Ancient Greece. Not only was our guide, Vera, highly qualified and knowledgeable (masters degree in archaeology ), she spoke English very well . The 4 hour tour went very quickly.

  • Love that this was a small group tour, much more intimate! Our tour guide was Maria who was really great, she was informative and gave such great insights about the mythology! She also tried to stop in the shade wherever possible! I have already recommended the tour to my sister who is coming to Athens later this year!
